CoronaVirus or commonly called Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This virus is considered a malignant virus because it can cause death for sufferers. Covid-19 is also a virus that can spread to all people without exception, be it children, adults or the elderly. However, the elderly and someone with respiratory diseases are more susceptible to the Covid virus.
This covid virus first entered Indonesia in early 2020. With symptoms that are almost the same as the flu in general, namely fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. The infection is transmitted from the covid virus through one person to another through splashes of liquid (droplets) that come out of the mouth when sneezing, coughing or spitting. The time from exposure to the virus to the appearance of clinical symptoms was 14 days with an average time of 5-7 days.
Due to the increasing number of Covid cases in Indonesia, the government finally took several actions to prevent the increase in Covid cases in several ways, namely Lockdown, New Normal, PPKM until finally a vaccine was found to prevent this virus, several vaccines namely Sinovac, Pfizer, Astrazenica, etc.
After administering the vaccine to the Indonesian people, the government finally relaxed the lockdown rules by continuing to apply the 3M health protocol by using masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance. 2 years have passed we are trying to make peace with covid 19 and now in 2022 a new virus appears, one of them, the omicron virus, the symptoms are not much different from covid 19.
